Customer-controlled keys now available for encrypting Azure NetApp Files volumes
Customer-managed keys (CMK) for Azure NetApp Files volume encryption enables customers to increase the security of their encryption keys by directly managing key rotation, access, permissions, and auditing tasks. This provides additional security against unauthorized key access and helps comply with regulatory requirements. The use of CMK does not impact performance and the feature is now available in certain regions.
