Enable TLS 1.3 for Application Insights Availability Tests
The retirement of TLS 1.0 and 1.1 within Azure is prompting updates to the Communication of Availability Tests in Azure Monitor Application Insights, which will now use TLS 1.3. While failover to down level TLS will still be allowed, updates will occur between December 2023 and March 2024, starting with 5 regions. During this transition, test failures may occur due to misconfigured TLS implementation on the remote endpoint being monitored. To address this, ensure that clients running on Windows Server 2022 with TLS 1.3 enabled can connect to the endpoint, or temporarily disable TLS 1.3 to allow fallback to older TLS versions.
