App Service Web Apps now offer Automatic Scaling for General Availability

Azure App Service has officially launched the “Automatic Scaling” feature, which has undergone enhancements based on feedback received during the preview phase. Automatic scaling is now available for Premium V2 (P1V2, P2V2, P3V2) and Premium V3 (P0V3, P1V3, P2V3, P3V3, P1MV3, P2MV3, P3MV3, P4MV3, P5MV3) pricing tiers and is supported for all app types including Windows, Linux, and Windows container. A new metric called “Automatic Scaling Instance Count” is now accessible for web apps where Automatic Scaling is activated, providing information on the number of virtual machines running the app, including pre-warmed instances if deployed. Furthermore, the automatic scaling feature maintains key capabilities such as dynamic scaling based on demand. For more details on how to enable and utilize the Automatic Scaling feature, please refer to the official announcement on Microsoft Learn.
