Preview: AKS adds support for Windows GPU instances in public Beta
Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) has launched Windows GPU support in a public preview. This feature enables the running of GPU workloads on Windows nodepools, catering to users already on Windows or considering migration to AKS with Windows nodes requiring compute-intensive resources like machine learning, video encoding, simulations, and gaming. Setting up a nodepool involves creating a new one with a supported GPU SKU, with AKS handling the installation of NVIDIA driver and other essentials. This eliminates the need for manual component installation and facilitates running Windows GPU workloads effectively.
