Public Preview: Health Event Logs for Azure Load Balancer
Azure has introduced a public preview of Load Balancer health event logs, which allow users to collect, store, and analyze data for assessing the health of their Azure Load Balancer resources. These logs assist in troubleshooting specific scenarios and enable timely identification and alerting of availability issues. Key scenarios addressed by these logs include traffic distribution problems, SNAT port exhaustion leading to outbound connectivity issues, and absence of healthy backend instances for traffic distribution. These logs offer a streamlined alternative to setting up complex metric-based alerts or custom data ingestion pipelines. Azure Load Balancer health event logs are being rolled out across all public regions, with more information available in the public documentation and the latest blog.
