Standard and High-Performance VPN Gateways to be Retired on 30 Sep 2025
Starting from 30 September 2025, the Basic IP retirement will result in the retirement of Standard and High-Performance SKUs. From 1 December 2023, it will no longer be possible to create a new gateway using these SKUs. However, after December 2024, it will be possible to upgrade the Standard/High-Performance gateway SKU to another available VPN Gateway SKU. The migration to these new SKUs will come with no price changes and will bring performance improvements of 6.5x for Standard and 5x for High-Performance. If the upgrade is not performed by August 2025, the gateway will be automatically upgraded to VPNGw1AZ (Standard) or VPNGw2AZ (High-Performance) after 30 September 2025.
